Beauty, Ressurected
Liang believes that pure beauty comes along with an object’s natural form and should be understood that the creation of beauty is absolute, not temporary. To Liang, design is a charm empowered by a story. this credo leads him to create conceptual subjects driven by its philosophy. In a more technical term, through his unique perspective, all forms of object can be perceived as ‘beautiful’, even those that are considered an outcast, a leftover, rejected, or dead. While it is hard to see something from someone else’s eyes, his talk will bring the audience through the process of beauty, resurrected.
With a background of interior design, Lianggono Susanto thrives with a mission to construct a conceptual journey of botanical and floral styling, marking his works as a floweresque self-statement. He holds the value that design is a character rather than an attitude. it is not bonded in norms, thus, it should not be defined by any rules. It can be mysterious while being unbalanced and filled with ample complexity. Based in Indonesia, Liang brings visions to life through culture, people and uncertain movements. His works have been featured in ELLE Decoration, Harper’s Bazaar, and many other international brands such as Catellani & Smith and Fritz.
